Landforms :
North Korea is in located in the north of the Korean Peninsula. The Peninsula makes up the whole of Korea.
The 3 major landforms include:
The Peninsula Korean
[1]The Korean Peninsula in forms the North an South Korea. Surrounded by various oceans called Yellow Sea, Sea of Japan, Korean Strait, Cheju Strait, and Korea Bay. After World War 2 the Peninsula was divided into two nations of the north and south.
Nangnim Mountains
[2]These mointains stretch from north to south, west of Korea passing the Kaema Highlands in the central of North Korea.
Paektusan
[1]The highest mountain peak in North Korea. Paektusan is also a dormant volcano that stretches to China from North Korea.
Major River:
There are many rivers in North Korea. Since of the many mountains in the region,most of the rivers run through them.Some Include:
Yalu River
[1]This great river serves as a border line of the two countries of North Korea and China. It also has a brother river called the Tumen River in the east of the country.
Tumen River
[1]This river is also neighbouring in the east of North Korea next to the Yalu River. it is the 3rd longest river bordering part of Russia and China. The Tumen/Yalu rivers sources the mountains of Baekdu.
Climate
[2] North Korea has a humid continental climate having for seasonal changes. Temperate with lots of rainfall in summer due the season monsoons. snow near winter can go on for 27-30 days.
